Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care to patients in a Telemetry unit. The RN will monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient conditions, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Telemetry setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, oxygen saturation, and other clinical indicators.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered.
• Initiate and maintain IV access and manage IV medications as required.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Perform wound care and other nursing procedures as required.
• Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Communicate patient status and changes to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and hospital policies.
• Provide patient and family education regarding medications, treatments, and plan of care.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• Recent Telemetry/Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong cardiac monitoring and assessment skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
