Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with scheduling made 6 weeks at a time, received 2 weeks prior
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• One holiday per contract required
• Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Patient ratios: Day/Evening 1:4-5, Nights 1:6-7
• Care for medical patients including COPD, chest pain, post cardiac cath, DM, cellulitis, chronic trachs, wounds, ventilators, heart failure, and surgical patients
• Average patient length of stay is 5-10 days
• Ventilator experience required; 3-hour vent class taught by RT provided along with additional 12 hours of orientation with vent patients
• Travelers will care for vented patients; RNs manage the patient while RT manages the vent
• Charge nurse experience required and must be comfortable performing charge duties
• Telemetry experience required
• Required skills: wound care, surgical/post-op care, IV starts, wound vacs, PEG tubes, tube feedings, TPN, and trach care
• Required charting system: EPIC
• Equipment used: Alaris, Pyxis, GE monitors
• Travelers are first to float to all other med-surg units and ED holding at a 1:4 ratio
• Orientation includes NEO Epic orientation and 12-hour orientation with charge nurse
• Required certification: BLS
• Scrub color: Any - no camo or denim
• Must document pain level before and after (1 hour) administering pain medications
• Fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong team culture
Facility:
This facility is a 933-bed Level III Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital offering comprehensive medical services including a Level III NICU and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The unit consists of 24 private rooms, including 4 rooms designated for ventilator patients. The facility provides robust support resources including 24/7 unit secretaries, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, centralized telemetry monitoring, phlebotomy, and an IV/VAD team, ensuring a highly collaborative and well-supported work environment.
