Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiac Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to inpatient adult patients with life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.

Shift Details

This position offers a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, from 1900 to 0730. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, subject to change based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer vasoactive drug therapy and antiarrhythmic medications.
• Conduct thrombolytic therapy and perform defibrillation/cardioversion as necessary.
• Assist with thoracentesis procedures when indicated.
• Monitor patients using cardiac telemetry and EKG.
• Utilize non-invasive blood pressure monitoring techniques.
• Float to various units or other facilities as required, depending on patient care needs.

Patient Population

The nursing staff will primarily engage with adult patients presenting with common cardiovascular diagnoses such as:

• Sepsis
• Myocardial Infarction (MI)
• Unstable Angina
• Coronary Artery Disease
• Cardiac patients requiring IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic health records.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in a related field is preferred. First-time travelers may be considered based on experience.
