Description:
Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas.
Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips.
Telemetry monitoring includes measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours.
TR Band experience is required.
Must be able to perform cardiac drips and reading telemetry strips.
Clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights.
Care for patients in the emergency department, medication nursing in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the intensive care unit.
The bed count for the facility is 371.
The patient census in units ranges from 8 to 41 beds.
Rotation requirements include rotating from days/evenings to nights 1 to 3 times per contract.
The electronic medical record charting system used is EPIC.
