Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
License: Active RN license
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor
- Traveler experience required unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience
- Strong skills in cardiac telemetry, PCU/stepdown, sheath removal, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Ability to manage cardiac drips and perform post-MI, pre/post cardiac cath procedures
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation.
Ratios vary per acuity, with 1:4 for surgical step-down and 1:5-6 for lower acuity.
Contract staff will be expected to work during catastrophic events or disasters.
Patient diagnoses include:
- Atrial fibrillation
- Congestive heart failure
- Acute coronary syndrome
- Coronary artery disease
- Aortic stenosis/regurgitation
- Mitral regurgitation/stenosis
- Endocarditis
- Cardiomyopathy
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Vasculitis
Special procedures include:
- CABG
- Aortic valve replacement
- Mitral valve replacement
- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement
- Watchman procedure
- Thoracic surgeries
- Post cardiac procedures
Equipment includes:
- Arterial lines
- EKG
- Chest tubes
- Epicardial pacing wires
Preferred skills include:
- Arterial line management
- Wound care and wound vac management
- Charge experience
