• Float Requirement: May float to a similar unit based on staffing needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring preferred
• Comfort caring for patients with cardiac drips and complex cardiac conditions
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Ability to work in a high-acuity cardiovascular unit with ratios that may range from 1:5 to 1:7 or higher depending on census
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and designated holidays as scheduled
• Travel nurses must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care for cardiac telemetry patients with conditions such as CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain
• Monitor patients closely on a remote telemetry system and directly on the unit
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and other ordered therapies
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to like units as needed based on staffing and patient care demands
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner charting system
• Support a professional, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and quality care
