About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Tele to provide safe, compassionate, and comprehensive care to patients requiring continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring. The Tele RN will assess patient conditions, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, administer medications and treatments, identify changes in patient status, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.

This opportunity is ideal for a skilled telemetry nurse who is comfortable caring for patients with cardiac, medical, and acute conditions while managing multiple priorities in a hospital environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of telemetry patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and other vital signs
  • Recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms and promptly report significant changes in patient condition
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, injections, and treatments according to provider orders
  • Monitor IV lines, drains, catheters, and other patient care equipment
  • Provide care to patients with cardiac, medical, and acute conditions
  • Monitor patients for signs of chest pain, arrhythmias, respiratory distress, and other complications
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Assist with cardiac and diagnostic procedures as required
  • Provide wound care, dressing changes, and other nursing treatments within scope of practice
  • Monitor intake and output and maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Assist patients with mobility, positioning, transfers, and activities of daily living
  • Implement fall prevention, infection prevention, and patient safety measures
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, disease management, and discharge instructions
  • Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Communicate patient status and critical findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, technicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Follow medication safety, infection control, telemetry monitoring, and hospital policies
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable healthcare regulations
  • Support quality improvement and evidence-based nursing practices
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or comparable acute care nursing experience
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry nursing practices
  • Experience with medication administration, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
  • Ability to identify and respond appropriately to abnormal cardiac rhythms and changes in patient condition
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients effectively
  • Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts
  • Required certifications should meet applicable facility requirements
