Must-Have:
Candidates must have experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements.
Candidates must have experience with stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips.
Description:
The unit has 36 beds with a staff of 70.
Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT for full staffing.
Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT for full staffing.
Patient ratios are 4 to 5 patients per nurse.
The unit uses Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines.
The EMR system in use is Meditech.
The ideal candidate should possess a fast-paced, high-energy personality with a strong sense of teamwork.
The position may require floating to other telemetry departments, med-surg, or PCU.
The dress code consists of grey scrubs for RNs.
Weekend shifts will be scheduled for 3 out of 4 weeks.
Shifts include Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday days.
