Description:
Please ensure traveler is aware of the following:
This position is located in an area that is commonly impacted by hurricanes.
The hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, but storms can occur outside of that window.
Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team."
There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the storm passes or to be part of the relief team.
Specific details regarding pay during storms will be communicated, as impacts can vary.
By signing the travel contract for this position, the traveler accepts the above terms and agrees to report as assigned by the immediate unit manager in the event of a storm.
Travelers should not apply if they are not comfortable with these conditions.
This unit has 12 beds and utilizes Alaris Pumps as special equipment.
Previous charge experience is preferred, and experience with patient ratios is required.
References are not required for submission, but two manager or supervisor references will be needed to obtain clearance to start the contract.
Travelers are encouraged to ensure that all required certifications are up to date prior to submission.
Resources who have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have been separated from the health system for one full year before they can return as travel staff.
