This role involves working in a dynamic and supportive team environment, providing care on a busy 18-bed unit utilizing state-of-the-art medical and lift equipment.

Key Responsibilities of the Renal Medicine Nurse

Perform peritoneal dialysis and monitor patient responses
Support the Charge RN and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR
Utilize and maintain dialysis and patient mobilization equipment
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements of the Renal Medicine Nurse

RN licensure and BLS certification
Prior peritoneal dialysis experience
PCT certificate
Preferred: BSN, Certified peritoneal dialysis nurse, Cerner experience
