Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 6 months of acute care hospital experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months if not already obtained
• Telemetry nursing, stepdown, progressive care, or cardiac monitoring experience strongly preferred
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry patients confidently
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Comfort working nights, every other weekend, and every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation
• Monitor and care for telemetry patients with conditions such as chest pain, CHF exacerbations, and cardiac rule-outs
• Support pre- and post-cardiac cath patients and assist with medication drip management as needed
• Administer medications safely and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, prioritize care, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Educate patients and families while promoting safety, comfort, and positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a culture of quality and patient advocacy
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, support personnel, and the charge nurse to ensure smooth unit operations
