Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
• 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills and comfort reading rhythms in the electronic health record
• Experience in acute care, stepdown, Med/Surg, or telemetry preferred
• Ability to safely care for patients with chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced respiratory support
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• CAPD experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process
• Complete thorough patient assessments and update care plans as conditions change
• Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and escalate changes in patient status promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Support patients and families with education, communication, and compassionate care
• Care for patients requiring oxygen therapy, drips, and advanced respiratory modalities
• Maintain a calm, adaptable approach in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and accurate documentation throughout the shift
