- Setting: Adult Cardiac Telemetry Unit
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend required
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Patient Population: Adult telemetry patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
- Unit Highlights: Remote telemetry monitoring, strong interdisciplinary support, and a fast-paced team environment
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience preferred
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Experience with telemetry nursing, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drips
- Comfortable managing adult patients with cardiac and stroke-related diagnoses
- Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and electronic charting systems
- Willingness to float within scope, work required holidays, and meet scheduling expectations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative hospital setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult telemetry patients with cardiac and neurovascular needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer and manage cardiac-related medications and drips per unit protocol
- Support patients with stroke/TIA, post-MI, and stable cardiac cath diagnoses
- Perform safe IV care, oxygen therapy, and respiratory support interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, rapid response teams, and interdisciplinary partners to deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Float within specialty scope when needed and maintain flexibility in a travel assignment environment
