Description:
This position is an auto-offer.
The role involves providing patient care in a telemetry setting.
Utilizes the nursing process to perform patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with mission and values.
Stand and walk most of the time on duty.
Meets unit-specific physical demands.
Involves significant bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance.
May be required to work varying schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements.
High risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 15 lbs, kneeling, crouching, and minimal crawling.
Utilizes nursing processes to provide patient care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
Coordinates the delivery of care while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
Evaluates patient outcomes and effectiveness of care delivered.
This position requires a calm demeanor, collaborative spirit, and effective communication skills.
Dress code requires black scrubs.
Unacceptable attire includes torn clothes and open-toed shoes.
Ability to float on a rotational basis as required by facility demands.
Experience with trauma care is preferred.
Patient ratios vary; day shifts estimated at 1:5-1:6 and night shifts at 1:6-1:8.
Equipment includes telemetry, lift equipment, and Alaris pumps.
The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC.
