Job Summary:

Telemetry Nurse in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized care on a cardiac telemetry unit with a focus on patient monitoring, EKG interpretation, and responding to changes in patient conditions. The position requires flexibility and the ability to handle a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every third Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Additional coverage may be needed during holidays such as Halloween, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night.
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. Experience in telemetry and reading EKGs. Ability to manage a fast-paced unit with admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures. No minimum years of experience specified.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to prioritize patient care, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and effectively communicate patient condition changes to physicians.
• Additional Information: The unit has 25 beds, staffed with a charge RN, RN staff, a unit secretary, and technicians during nights. Typical equipment includes EKG machines, Hoyer lifts, and LifePak monitors. Best personality fit includes being a team player with a positive attitude.
