Join a dedicated nursing team as a Registered Nurse on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit at an acute care hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care to adult patients requiring medical-surgical intervention and continuous cardiac monitoring.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, managing a diverse patient population, and collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes on the 7 West B Medicine unit.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patients with medical conditions and telemetry needs, interpreting cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
More than one (1) year of Medical-Surgical or Telemetry experience.
Professional nursing certification (e.g., CMSRN, PCCN).
Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in administering medications and treatments, including IV therapy.
Ability to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
