Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,189 per week in Tacoma, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ED Observation, Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Experience in Med/Surg Telemetry Description: Candidates must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization within the past year. Position will require floating between various facilities if needed. There will be a rate differential when floated outside the primary facility. This unit serves ER Observation patients. The facility has 8-16 beds for ER Observation and Trauma Center. ER RNs manage their own ER holds, which are somewhat separated from the main emergency department. In-house security is available. The average number of patients per day is 8-16. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 4:1. Required skills include managing telemetry patients. There is a Charge Nurse and House Supervisor present. Nurse Aids, Paramedics, and Patient Sitters are also available on the unit. Registered Nurses are responsible for reading telemetry strips. Transport services are provided in-house. Lab draws are performed by nursing staff. Weekend shifts are required every other week. There is a standby requirement. Floating to similar floors is expected. Navy blue scrub color is required. Additional notes include that these are boarding patients awaiting hospital rooms. Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is done via an EPIC system.
