Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,209 per week in Spokane, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Client RN experience Comfortable with the NIH scale Proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients Experience with various neurology diagnoses Description: This position requires a Telemetry Registered Nurse specializing in neurology. The nurse will be floating between units as needed. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. The RN is expected to have experience in neuro steps downs and telemetry. Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, craniotomy care, CVA interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias. This position involves pre and post neurosurgery care. The unit is a designated stroke unit and is thrombectomy capable. Daily patient census on the unit is approximately 48. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. Special procedures performed on this unit include those related to neurology and neurosurgery. The facility is recognized as a Center of Excellence for spine care and holds JCAHO designation. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Communication devices will be provided for necessary duties.
