Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in Alexandria, Louisiana. This position involves providing specialized cardiac and telemetry care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role offers an opportunity to practice independently, manage complex patient situations, and develop long-term clinical skills within a well-established healthcare organization.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week guaranteed. Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), ACLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), RN License in the state of employment or a compact license, 1+ years of experience in a related nursing specialty, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetry or cardiac patient care.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
- Job Responsibilities: Providing routine and complex cardiac telemetry care, assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, documenting patient information, and providing education to patients and their families. Making appropriate clinical decisions and delegating tasks to other care providers to ensure optimal patient care.
- Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend a new nurses orientation within the first 30 days of hire, which includes precepted onboarding and competency validation. Completion of annual competency requirements is mandatory.
