Experience: Minimum of 2 years of telemetry or strong MedSurg experience
License: Valid state license required or must be willing to participate in a licensure project
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Must-Have:
Traveler must pass medication and EKG test.
Telemetry experience is required.
Oncology experience is preferred.
Description:
The unit is focused on oncology but frequently manages heavy telemetry patients.
Management of drips and rhythms is expected.
Strong telemetry experience is preferred; however, candidates with significant MedSurg experience will be considered.
Travelers are required to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1 during night shifts.
The daily census is approximately 23 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Patient diagnoses include medical, oncology, telemetry, and end-of-life care.
Special equipment and procedures are utilized in this unit.
The traveler must complete necessary modules before the start of the assignment.
Any conduct issues, such as unprofessional behavior or shift call-offs, will be taken seriously and may result in immediate contract termination.
