Job Summary: Telemetry Nurse - San Luis Obispo, California. This acute care position involves working in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac monitoring and post-procedure care. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Job Details:
Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry units, certification in trauma or specialized cardiac care is advantageous.
Float: Float rotation between the 300-unit and main unit may be required.
Additional Information: The unit cares for a variety of patients including surgical, orthopedic, medical, cardiac step-down, post-cath, post-pacemaker, post-PCI, TAVR, CABG, sepsis, and respiratory distress. Nurses will work alongside a team that utilizes Cerner charting system and Phillips telemetry monitors. Orientation includes six hours of unit-specific training.
