Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience required License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Must-Have: High-risk telemetry experience, cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, central line management required Description: 12-hour night shifts in a telemetry unit. Patient ratios are 1:5-6. All candidates must have experience with high-risk cardiology patients. The expectation is to work every other weekend, totaling approximately 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. Floating may be required within the facility's patient units. Candidates must have experience in managing cardiac drips, performing sheath pulls, and caring for central lines. Experience with post-operative open-heart patients is a prerequisite. The unit primarily cares for adult patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Daily census on the unit averages around 30 patients. Candidates must be proficient in various telemetry skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and non-invasive airway management. Compliance with vaccination policies is required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. A maximum of 7 days of time off is permitted. No local candidates may apply within a specified radius. Candidates are required to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. All travelers will float within the service line as needed. Compliance deadlines for orientation and module completion apply. Modules are required for all nursing staff prior to the start date. Experience with isolation precautions and PPE is essential. Maturity, professionalism, and effective communication skills are expected.
