Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: Valid State License required Certifications: BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Cardiac Telemetry Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Telemetry for a night shift position. The nurse will provide care in a telemetry unit focusing on nephrology patients. Ratios will be 1 nurse to 5-6 patients. Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a telemetry setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend shifts will require 2 shifts every other weekend. Certifications in BCLS and NIH are required. There will be no on-call requirements for this position. Nurses may float within the scope of the facility as needed. The unit provides care to adult patients with varying diagnoses including COVID-19, unstable cardiac conditions, and renal failure. Special procedures performed may include peritoneal dialysis. Daily census is approximately 25 patients with a total of 27 beds available. Interdisciplinary support will include teams from IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more. Candidates are encouraged to complete references and obtain necessary licenses prior to start. Travelers must adhere to the policies regarding time off and will be expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement. Potential candidates must complete compliance requirements in a timely manner. All applicants must be prepared for floating as needed within the service line. The role necessitates familiarity with EPIC charting system.
