Experience with EKG and cardiac drips is essential. Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in telemetry and step-down care. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The role includes accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and managing cardiac telemetry. The registered nurse will provide care for various patient diagnoses including CHF, arrhythmias, ACS, heart valve disease, CAD, and pulmonary hypertension. Special procedures performed in this unit include cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, and echocardiograms. An understanding of anti-arrhythmic drug loading and cardiac monitoring is necessary. Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential in providing patient care.
