Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in the Peoria, Illinois area. The role involves providing care for patients with cardiac monitoring needs, including EKG interpretation and medication titration. This assignment requires a minimum of two years of nursing experience, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) recommended.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Twelve-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The start date is 08/17/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS certification (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; experience or skills in EKG interpretation, medication titration, basic nursing skills; ability to read ECG strips; and experience with telemonitoring systems.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is recommended.
• Float: Float to other general medical units may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit is a telemetry care setting with a patient ratio of 1:4-6 during nights, handling patients with various cardiac and medical conditions, including MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, and post-surgical cases. Nurses may be required to troubleshoot and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors. The unit employs 12-hour night shifts, with weekend and holiday rotation coverage. Basic scrubs in any color are acceptable, excluding children or cartoon prints. Orientation typically consists of one shift, depending on previous experience with the organization.
