The nursing role will focus on patients with nephrology and telemetry needs. Working night shifts involves a ratio of 1 nurse to 5-6 patients. Two weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The schedule can flex between Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shifts. Peritoneal Dialysis experience is preferred. The daily census is approximately 25 patients, with a total of 27 beds in the unit. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more. The patient population includes adults with conditions like COVID, unstable cardiac issues, and renal failure. The role involves the use of lift equipment and collaboration with various healthcare departments. All travelers will float within the service line as needed.
