The role involves caring for patients with kidney issues and telemetry needs. Staffing ratios will be approximately 1:5-6. The ideal candidate should have experience in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Weekend shifts will be required, typically two shifts every other weekend. A commitment to teamwork and floating to similar units may be necessary to meet facility needs. The population served includes adults with conditions such as unstable cardiac issues and renal failure. Additional interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams. Special procedures involving peritoneal dialysis will be conducted on the unit. Familiarity with electronic patient charting systems is required. The facility utilizes a navy scrub color for its staff.
