Job Details:

• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
• Weekend requirement includes 4 weekend shifts (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays) in a 6-week period along with 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• Only one holiday may be requested as time off
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Experience with pre-cardiac cath and managing ports required
• Patient ratio experience of 5 to 6 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Active Compact license required at time of submission
• Epic charting experience required
• Potential to float between campuses and to Observation Units, Med/Surg, and Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
• Will support ED boarders across the system — patients waiting for a bed in the ED and requiring inpatient care
• If insufficient boarders, will float to observation units
• Skills include accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management without titration, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac, and use of rapid response and code teams
• Special equipment includes lift equipment, iPad for communication, and pacemaker interrogation
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Scrubs must be navy blue with no agency or brand logos
• Nails must be less than 1/4 inch in length with natural fingernails required for those in direct patient care; polish is acceptable
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• No cafeteria available; refrigerator and microwave provided on-site
