Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse (RN) in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center located in Reno, NV. This position involves providing specialized cardiac monitoring and care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including those with conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, and patients post-procedure. The role requires working scheduled shifts during the day, with potential to float to other units as needed, supporting a patient-centered, collaborative environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with flexibility to include weekends, holidays, and call shifts based on department needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Nevada Registered Nurse license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience, including passing a telemetry competency exam covering rhythm strip identification and measurement.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with non-titratable cardiac medication drips such as Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro. Ability to float to intensive care and medical surgical units as clinical needs demand.
• Additional Information: The organization may require the incumbent to float to other units up to their competency level. There may be work during major holidays and the need to pick up additional shifts during the schedule period. The hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with Stroke accreditation, serving a large, diverse patient population in a busy environment.
