Job Details
Position Description: Unit Telemetry with 22 beds, focusing on stroke, TIA, seizure, TBI, and mixed medical-surgical patients. The unit emphasizes bedside shift reports, patient experience, and core measures including stroke protocols.
Required Qualifications: RN license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, COVID-19 vaccination, minimum of 2-3 years experience in telemetry or related specialty, and the ability to interpret telemetry strips on GE Apex monitors.
Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, with shifts scheduled about 3 weeks in advance; includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Additional Information: Floating to IMCU or medical-surgical departments may be required; orientation includes one shift on the unit. The unit is busy, often at capacity, requiring self-motivated, team-oriented candidates invested in mission and values.
