Job Summary Telemetry Nurse Nights Location: Not specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with cardiac and other acute conditions within an intensive care setting. The position requires reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to emergent situations promptly.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS are required.
Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, with valid licensure to submit.
Specialty: Telemetry nursing, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and acute patient care.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information:
Unit: 4W Telemetry with 31 beds, including private and semi-private rooms.
Patient Care: Post pacer, hemodialysis, no cardiac/surgical patients, new onset atrial fibrillation or RVR, stepdown from ICU, oncology, renal, stroke, TBI, sepsis, and other high acuity cases.
Equipment & Protocols: Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, operate Philips telemetry monitors, and respond within 30 minutes for stand-by or call situations.
Staffing & Operations: Weekend rotations, holiday schedule participation, floating to similar units if needed, and orientation of 1-2 shifts with a preceptor.
Physician Coverage: Hospitalists or intensivists on-call after hours, hospital pharmacy 24/7, and RT availability.
Other: Must wear navy blue scrubs and maintain protocol adherence.
