We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment on a 22-bed mixed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit located in Elmira, New York.
This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population requiring cardiac monitoring and general medical-surgical interventions. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing complex patient cases, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly and appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and hospital policies.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document findings accurately, and update care plans as needed.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as required.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry setting.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.

Licensing Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
