Join our dedicated nursing team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care in Kealakekua, Hawaii. This dynamic role involves providing high-quality patient care across adult and pediatric populations within our Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
As a Float RN, you will be an essential resource, rotating between two primary Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units. Additionally, you will provide crucial support for Medical-Surgical overflow patients in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department (ED) as needed, ensuring seamless patient flow and comprehensive care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
Float between designated Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units based on staffing needs.
Support Medical-Surgical patient overflow in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department (ED).
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
Administer medications safely and accurately, monitor patient responses, and document care effectively.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically EPIC.
