Join North Country Hospital, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital nestled in the heart of Newport, Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care within a close-knit community setting.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care across our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a diverse patient population, working autonomously, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our nursing team through charge nurse duties and unit flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients on PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units.
Assume charge nurse responsibilities, including oversight of unit operations, patient assignments, and staff support.
Work independently to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
Float to other units within the hospital as operational needs dictate, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to teamwork.
Required Qualifications
Experience as a Registered Nurse in PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry settings.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient load.
Proven capability to perform charge nurse duties effectively.
Willingness and ability to float to other units as required.
