Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,460 to $2,550 per week in Alexandria, LA

We are seeking a skilled and independent Registered Nurse for a Telemetry I assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role focuses on providing routine and complex care for cardiac and telemetry patients. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage clinical contingencies and delegate appropriately within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Note: This is a Telemetry unit, not a Stepdown unit.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1 (Depending on staffing)
• Start Date: ASAP (Projected 5/25/2026)

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) to provide care for assigned cardiac/telemetry patients.
• Treatment & Medication: Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for effectiveness and side effects.
• Patient Advocacy: Address complex psychological, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and their families.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided via Epic EMR.
• Education: Assess learning needs and provide essential education to patients and caregivers regarding their condition and resources.
