Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,527 per week in Berkeley, CA

Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years of RN Telemetry experience, 6 months travel experience License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI Must-Have: - Previous charge experience (2 years preferred) - Patient ratio experience - Charting system experience (Epic preferred) Description: Telemetry Registered Nurse needed for night shift. The role requires strong nursing assessment and critical thinking skills. Nurses will care for adult and geriatric patients. Daily census is approximately 20 patients with a patient ratio of 4:1. Nurses may float to other units based on need and census. There may be opportunities to float to alternate campuses. Shuttle service is provided for staff floating to other locations. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services, among others. Patient diagnoses will vary widely within the telemetry setting. Nurses will manage and interpret telemetry monitoring. Experience with various medical procedures and equipment is essential. Nurses must be flexible and adapt to changing patient care needs. Additional skills such as phlebotomy and management of cardiac drips are required. Adhering to isolation precautions and protocols is crucial in this role. This position may involve participation in rapid response and code teams. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are necessary for success.
