Job Requirements

• 4+ years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Recent stepdown experience preferred for night shift success
• Ability to independently read telemetry strips
• Successful completion of an on-site telemetry exam on day 1 with a score of 84% or better
• At least 1 recent successful travel contract
• Experience with Meditech
• Strong IV skills and excellent clinical judgment
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Psychiatric nursing experience highly preferred
• Epic experience strongly preferred
• Previous float pool experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in a Med Surg / Tele float pool environment
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Deliver care across a variety of units, including medical-surgical, cardiology/telemetry, and surgical settings
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow using required clinical systems
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient patient care
• Adapt quickly to varying unit needs while maintaining high standards of patient safety
• Support patients with diverse diagnoses in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Contribute to a positive team environment through professionalism, flexibility, and strong clinical judgment
