Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,779 per week in Independence, MO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements. Experience with stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips. Description: This position requires a strong background in telemetry nursing. The unit has 36 beds and a staff of 70. Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 9 RNs/LPNs, and 3 PCTs. Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs/LPNs, and 3 PCTs. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 4 to 5:1. Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should possess a fast-paced, high-energy personality and a strong sense of teamwork. Floating may occur to other telemetry departments and med-surg units. Dress code requires grey scrubs for RNs. Three weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule are expected.
