Job Description – Registered Nurse
Patient Population / Unit:
MI, CHF, Arrhythmias, PVD, and some Med-Surg overflow
Department manages multiple cardiac drips; nitrates are not managed
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1, occasionally 6:1
Pay & Schedule:
36 or 48 hours/week guaranteed
Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Start: ASAP
Every other weekend
No call
Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours
Floating:
Required to float when needed within scope of practice
Required Certifications / Licensure:
BLS – AHA required
ACLS – AHA required
Active RN license in the state of employment or compact RN license
Experience:
1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
Med-Surg experience/competency required for orientation
Education:
BSN preferred
Dress Code:
Ceil Blue scrubs
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Provide routine and complex care to assigned patients.
Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols.
Monitor patients for medication side effects and treatment effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education.
Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed.
Maintain required competency and clinical skills.
Med Ninjas Job ID #15496. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
