Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a telemetry unit with a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology
Administer and manage medications utilizing Pyxis dispensing system
Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
Adhere to holiday and weekend scheduling requirements, including working assigned major holidays and every other weekend
Required Qualifications
Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license
Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Full compliance with onboarding requirements; all compliance documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to start date
All requested time off (maximum 7 days per contract) must be finalized at time of submission — no RTO or schedule requests accepted post-offer or post-start
Preferred Experience / Skills
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
Prior travel nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac step-down setting
