Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit with a night shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips and interpret EKG readings
• Float to other units as assigned based on departmental needs
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide every-other-weekend coverage
• Work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation
• Be available to serve on an Emergency Team or relief team in the event of an emergency, as directed by the unit manager

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry and/or Med-Surg experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (based on address on driver's license) to be eligible
• NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring beyond minimum requirement
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
