Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care across two telemetry units covering cardiac-focused and general telemetry populations, including post-procedural cardiac patients, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, and post-stroke patients
  • Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips a minimum of twice per shift; remote tele techs are available on-unit
  • Titrate Heparin and Insulin drips as needed; manage set-rate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Dobutamine
  • Float between the two assigned telemetry floors as needed to support staffing; travelers are first to float and may be floated to other Medical-Surgical, MS-Tele, or Telemetry units within the hospital or at sister facilities
  • Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy for patients requiring intermittent high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, or CPAP; assist RT with breathing treatments as needed
  • Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4, working alongside CNA support staff
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Idaho
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Post-procedural cardiac experience required (cath lab, ablations, and/or open heart surgery patients)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry and document findings appropriately
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
  • PCU and/or Step-Down unit experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with TAVR, pacemaker, and ablation post-procedural care
