Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 18-bed Medical/Telemetry unit with a 5:1 RN-to-patient ratio
Monitor and interpret telemetry readings using Philips Monitors and document care using Meditech EMR
Perform and assist with procedures including tracheostomy care, ostomy care, and airway management
Care for patients presenting with conditions such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, DKA, cellulitis, and pneumonia
Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, dopplers, Welch-Allyn vital signs machines, mobilab, and glucometers
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians across day and night shifts
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Telemetry experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Experience precepting or coaching new nursing staff
