Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to medical oncology patients in an inpatient setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and chemotherapy-related supportive care as ordered
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact state eligibility
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in medical oncology or a related acute care nursing specialty
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Preferred Experience / Skills- ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy certification
- Prior experience in an inpatient oncology unit
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
