Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:22 AM) | 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 25-bed telemetry unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation
• Administer and manage common medications including IVF, metoprolol, hydralazine, atorvastatin, enoxaparin, heparin, furosemide, insulin, potassium chloride, and oxycodone
• Operate common unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, bladder scanners, and glucometers
• Float to units of the same level of care as needed
• Complete required dysrhythmia and basic math competency assessments during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated telemetry interpretation skills
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in an ED Holding Unit
