Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Lufkin, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (5:45 PM – 6:15 AM) | Schedule Varies | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 6:1 patient ratio across a 45-bed unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Deliver wound care as needed in accordance with facility protocols
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the MEDHOST EMR system
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and patient census needs
• Adhere to facility dress code; Dark Navy Blue scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Wound Care
• No on-call obligations required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with MEDHOST EMR system
• Experience in a combined Med/Surg and Telemetry environment
• Comfort with floating to different units as census demands
