Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Expected 72 Hours Biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips — this unit does not utilize telemetry technicians; all RNs are required to monitor and interpret their own cardiac rhythms
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient safety and positive outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience
• CPR and ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia (20-question) and Medication (20-question) competency test prior to acceptance — administered remotely via Zoom; passing score is 85%; one attempt only with no opportunity for remediation or re-sit
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong independent cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Experience working in a high-acuity Medical-Surgical Telemetry environment
• Familiarity with dysrhythmia recognition and management
