Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | No time-off requests (RTO) accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit, depending on float assignment
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 (7a–11p) and 6:1 (11p–7a) on Med-Surg, and 4:1 (7a–11p) and 5:1 (11p–7a) on Telemetry
• Participate in self-scheduling while remaining flexible to fill unit needs as directed by charge staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care across rotating shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience required
• Ability to float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday; no RTO accommodated
• Expected hours of 72 hours biweekly; on-call hours are not included in this expectation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Telemetry nursing experience
• Comfort working rotating day and night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Experience with self-scheduling systems and adaptability to unit staffing needs
