Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

Plymouth, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Weekends and holidays expected | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit during 12-hour night shifts
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with facility protocols
• Float to like units and overflow areas as needed based on census and staffing demands
• Apply knowledge of critical paths in the coordination and delivery of patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience
• Must pass Telemetry Competency (ECG/Dysrhythmia) Exam and Medication Exam prior to assignment — 85% passing score required; one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Flu vaccination required as part of compliance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Documented professional development activities
• Familiarity with critical path methodology in a hospital setting
