Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Days/Evenings/Nights Rotating with Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the facility, including ED border assignments, acute mental health medication nurse roles, and care for non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours, and measure cardiac intervals
• Manage cardiac drips and apply TR Band experience as required per patient care needs
• Deliver direct patient care across units ranging from 8 to 41 beds with patient ratios of up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Document accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic medical records

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring including strip interpretation and interval measurement
• Ability and willingness to float to 8 different units as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of dedicated telemetry nursing experience
• Prior experience with cardiac drips and TR Band application
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
